Lancaster Knights of Columbus Council #2820 Donates to WI Badger Camp

Wisconsin Badger Camp is proud to announce it is the recipient of a $259.30 donation from the Lancaster Knights of Columbus Council #2820. The hard work of the Lancaster Knights of Columbus is greatly appreciated. This donation will provide financial assistance to local individuals with developmental disabilities that will attend Wisconsin Badger Camp this summer.

Located 10 miles south of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin Badger Camp is a non-profit organization that serves individuals with developmental disabilities by providing quality outdoor recreational experiences. Wisconsin Badger Camp accepts campers regardless of age, severity of a disability, or financial situation.  This summer over 800 individuals with developmental disabilities had the opportunity to experience swimming, hiking, camping, and making friends that last a lifetime at Wisconsin Badger Camp.

The Knights of Columbus truly embodies the spirit of volunteerism through the time they spend volunteering and funds they have donated to help improve the quality of Wisconsin Badger Camp’s facilities and programs.

“On behalf of our board of directors, staff, and most importantly our campers, we would like to thank the Lancaster Knights of Columbus for their donation to Wisconsin Badger Camp,” Wisconsin Badger Camp Development/Communications Director, Kayla Smith said.  “Wisconsin Badger Camp is extremely proud of our relationship with the Knights of Columbus and are very appreciative of their efforts to help us fulfill our mission of serving individuals with developmental disabilities,” Smith said.

Last Badger Olympics for 2012

Our last Badger Olympics was Wednesday night. The weather cleared up just in time for the Olympics to be held outside. The counselors and campers were having a great time. A big thanks goes out to the Lancaster Knights of Columbus for coming up to help for the night and their donation to WBC.

Last Week of 2012 Camp

This week is already our last week of camp. It's hard to believe we are on our 10th and final week. This summer went great and we had a great group of campers and staff. Keep up with the blog this week for info and pictures on our last week of camp!

Fennimore Lions Club Donates to WI Badger Camp

Wisconsin Badger Camp is proud to announce it is the recipient of a $1,500.00 donation from the Fennimore Lions Club. The hard work of the Fennimore Lions Club is greatly appreciated. This donation will provide financial assistance to local individuals with developmental disabilities that will attend Wisconsin Badger Camp.

Land's End Interns Help out with Kids Week

Wednesday at Kids Week the interns from Land's End set up activities for our young campers all day and the theme of the day was Superheros. Some of the activities they got to participate in were: playing with the parachute, making superhero masks & costumes, freeze tag & soccer; the campers had a great time all day . A big thank you goes out to the Land's End volunteers yesterday!

It's Kids Week At Badger Camp!

Ready or not its kids week at Badger Camp. Our age group for kids week is 3-13. We have lots of fun things planned for them this week including Lands' End visiting on Wednesday, The Bloomington KC's for Olympics and the Fennimore Lion's Club on Thursday! Check out the blog all week for more updates from Kids Week!

Its already week 8 for us at Badger Camp. This summer has been flying by and next week is already kids week! For our 8 week campers our Badger Olympics was themed "Grease the Movie" and our campers had a great time!

West Grant Lions Club Donates to WBC

Wisconsin Badger Camp is proud to announce it is the recipient of a $2,000 donation from the West Grant Lions Club.  The West Grant Lions Club presented this donation on Wednesday, August 1st at their monthly meeting. This donation will be used to provide financial assistance for Wisconsin Badger Camp and the individuals with developmental disabilities that Camp serves.

 “On behalf of our staff, the Badger Camp board of directors and most importantly our campers, we would like to thank the West Grant Lions Club for their generous donation,” Wisconsin Badger Camp Development Assistant, Emily Doan said.  “We truly appreciate the hard work they put into raising this money, their involvement and support of our program.”

Located 10 miles south of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin Badger Camp is a private, non-profit organization that serves individuals with developmental disabilities by providing quality outdoor recreational experiences.
