Wisconsin Badger Camp Receives Grant from Eau Claire Community Foundation

A grant for $1,200 was awarded to Wisconsin Badger Camp’s Campership Program.  This grant will financially assist 6 campers from Eau Claire County.  Wisconsin Badger Camp is able to financially support our campers thanks to the continued support from foundations, like the Eau Claire Community Foundation.  In over 45 years of operation, Wisconsin Badger Camp has never turned a camper away due to their inability to pay. 

The Eau Claire Community Foundation’s mission is  “We strengthen our community by offering donors opportunities to establish charitable legacies, by making grants, and by serving as a catalyst to address community needs.”

“The Eau Claire Community Foundation’s support of our Campership Program is greatly appreciated, our six campers from Eau Claire County will be able to attend Badger Camp regardless of their financial situation,” Development Director, Kayla Leibfried said. “Thank you, Eau Claire Community Foundation.”

Wisconsin Badger Camp Receives Grant of $4,000

Wisconsin Badger Camp is proud to announce it is the recipient of a $4,000 grant from the Lacrosse Community Foundation’s Anonymous Fund and William & Cynthia Berg Family Fund.  This grant will support the Campership Program. Through this grant, 48 campers from Lacrosse County will be impacted by the Campership Program. 

The Lacrosse Community Fund has been around for 80 years. The first donation of the Lacrosse Community Fund was by Miss Alice O. Gordon for $4,000 for children living with disabilities.

$1,500 Grant to Wisconsin Badger Camp from Oshkosh Area Community Foundation

Wisconsin Badger Camp is the proud recipient of a $1,500 grant from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation.  This grant will support our 4 youth campers from Winnebago County through our Campership Program.  The Campership Program allows campers that cannot afford the requested camp fee to still experiences all that camp has to offer. 

Since 1928, the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation has helped donors turn their charitable investments into projects that add energy and vitality to our community. Wisconsin Badger Camp does not receive state or federal funding so this grant from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation is important in allowing Winnebago County campers to attend regardless of their financial situation. 

“The Oshkosh Area Community Foundation is a continued supporter of our Winnebago County youth campers,” Development Director, Kayla Leibfried said. “Our organization and our campers greatly appreciate their generosity.”

Badger Camp Receives Grant from the Alliant Energy Foundation

Wisconsin Badger Camp is pleased to announce that it is the recipient of a grant from the Alliant Energy Foundation.  This grant will be put towards our Campership Program.  Wisconsin Badger Camp’s Campership Program is an ongoing initiative that was established to help provide financial assistance to campers who wish to attend.  This means that our 42 Grant County campers will received the needed financial assistance to attend Badger Camp.   

The Alliant Energy Foundation was made to better the community presently and in the future in areas where Alliant Energy is located.  Because Badger Camp does not accept any state or federal funding, the Alliant Energy Foundation has played a large role in helping campers have the opportunity to come to camp.

“We love to see a local foundation like Alliant Energy supporting campers right here in our community,” Development Director, Kayla Leibfried said. “We greatly appreciate Alliant Energy Foundation’s ongoing support of our mission.”

Badger Camp Receives Grant from Clarence Gribble Trust of the Platteville Community Fund

The Clarence Gribble Trust of the Platteville Community Fund has donated $1,000 to Wisconsin Badger Camp.  This grant is for Wisconsin Badger Camp’s Campership Program, which gives financial support to any camper who cannot afford to support the camp fee.  The Clarence Gribble Trust of the Platteville Community Fund’s grant will specifically support our Grant County campers who will attend camp this summer.

The Clarence Gribble Trust of the Platteville Community Fund is in place to provide financial help to organizations that better the community.  Bettering the Community can involve art, education, environment, or human services.  This grant assists Wisconsin Badger Camp immensely because the camp does not receive state or federal funding.  Kayla Leibfried, Development/Communications Director stated, “Our organization, as well as our Grant County campers greatly appreciates this grant.  On behalf of our staff, Board of Directors, and most importantly, our campers, thank you to the Platteville Community Fund.”

Badger Camp Recieves Grant from The Monroe Fund

Wisconsin Badger Camp is proud to announce it is the recipient of a $1,275 grant from The Monroe Fund.  This grant will be put towards the campership program in Green County.  Since the grant is for Green County, 19 of our campers will be financially supported this summer.  The campership program gives campers the financial support to attend Badger Camp if the camper is unable to fully pay themselves.  We are so thankful for this grant, because we are able to send more campers to camp.

The Monroe Fund was founded in 1996 by Monroe citizens.  This permanent fund is able to give a percentage of their earnings back and improve the community through grants.  Because Badger Camp does not accept any state or federal funding, by having The Monroe Fund donate this grant will play an immense role in helping our campers have a successful time at camp. “We appreciate the continued support from The Monroe Fund for our Green County Campers” stated the Development/ Communications Director Kayla Leibfried.
