Nick’s 1st Bean Bag Tournament

A Day Full of Laughter and Fun Competition

Nick’s 1st Inaugural Bean Bag Tournament in support of Wisconsin Badger Camp was a success. With 41 teams in attendance the bean bag tournament was a day full of laughter and fun competition. With the weather warming up many people came to play bags and listen to the live entertainment provided by Adam Bartels, Ryan Casey and The Mighty Short Bus. The tournament helped raise $966 for Wisconsin Badger Camp. The money raised will help individuals from Grant County attend camp this summer.
“We appreciate the support Nick Pease from Nick’s on Second Street in Platteville in helping raise money to provide financial assistance to our campers in Grant County,” Wisconsin Badger Camp Development Director, Kayla Leibfried said. “This event is an example of how community members and business owners can come together to help raise money for camp,” Leibfried said.  “On behalf of Wisconsin Badger Camp Board of Directors, staff and most importantly our campers I want to thank Nick Pease and everyone else who helped make this event a success,” Leibfried said.
Located 10 miles south of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin Badger Camp is a private, non-profit organization that serves individuals with developmental disabilities by providing quality and challenging outdoor recreational experiences. Wisconsin Badger Camp accepts campers regardless of age, severity of a disability, geographical location, or financial situation.  Wisconsin Badger Camp relies on the generosity of businesses like Nick’s, as Badger Camp does not receive any state or federal funding.
