West Bend Charitable Fund Supports Wisconsin Badger Camp.
Wisconsin Badger Camp is pleased to
announce it is the recipient of a $2,000 grant from the West Bend Charitable
Fund. This grant will financially support individuals with developmental
disabilities, from Dane County, to give them the opportunity to come to camp
and participate in outdoor recreational experiences such as fishing, hiking,
camping, horseback riding, canoeing, and arts & crafts. Because Badger Camp
does not accept any state or federal funding, the West Bend Charitable Trust is
playing an important role in the success of the Campership Program.
With
the help of the West Bend Mutual Charitable Fund, 236 campers from Dane County
will be able to enjoy outdoor recreational experiences such as fishing, hiking,
camping, horseback riding, canoeing, and arts & crafts. Wisconsin Badger
Camp brings a tradition of outdoor recreational experience to people of any ability
or age regardless of one’s financial situation.
“We truly appreciate this grant from the West
Bend Charitable Fund,” said Development Director, Kayla Leibfried. “We serve a
large number of campers from Dane County so we appreciate the West Bend
Charitable Trust’s support of those campers and of our mission.”
